Situation:

The company has recently experienced a noticeable increase in employee attrition over the past four months. However, no specific dates were provided, making it challenging to pinpoint the exact timeline of this trend. Management is concerned about the loss of talent, especially among newly joined and entry-level employees, and seeks to understand the underlying causes to prevent further turnover.

Task:

The objective was to conduct a detailed data analysis using the available employee dataset to identify the key factors contributing to attrition.

Action:

The project began with cleaning and organizing the dataset, followed by selecting relevant features that appeared most closely linked to attrition. Visualizations such as donut charts, scatter plots, and bar graphs were used to highlight trends across departments, job levels, tenure, salary ranges, and satisfaction levels. The analysis revealed that attrition was highest among entry-level employees in Research & Development and Sales, especially those aged 20–35, earning lower salaries, and reporting low job or environment satisfaction. Based on these findings, specific recommendations were made, including improving onboarding, revising training, offering performance-based salary hikes, and addressing job satisfaction through employee feedback.
